Gento Torigata

Gento Torigata b.1988 in Tokyo

has been a mixologist since 2013 in Japan, Australia and Singapore. Torigata moved to the UK in 2021 and worked as head mixologist at Pantechnicon in Belgravia London. He is currently working at Kwãnt, Mayfair London. Torigata recently judged for London Spirits Competition 2023. He is also a brand ambassador of RYUKYU1429, a traditional Okinawan spirit, starting in 2023.

・15ml homemade orange vermouth

・2 drops of yuzu bitters

 

Stir and serve in a martini glass, zest with orange peel

Serve in rock glass with ice and zest lemon peel。

Ùrar Gin captures the warmth of citrus botanicals layered over the crisp foundation of a traditional Highland dry gin, offering a bold, aromatic taste that tells the story of our Japanese and Scottish roots.

At the heart of Ùrar Gin is the rare Japanese citrus fruit, yuko—sourced from the secluded, forested coastal region of Sotome in Nagasaki Prefecture, the only known place on Earth where yuko grows. Complementing these vibrant notes are handpicked Scottish juniper berries from the Caledonian forest in Cairngorms National Park, alongside coriander seeds, fragrant Szechuan pepper, and zesty lemon peel.

These six botanicals are gently infused and steeped for three days, allowing their flavors to fully develop before being carefully distilled, rested, and bottled at the award-winning Inshriach Distillery in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

The result is a gin that embodies the essence of two cultures—complex, refreshing, and unmistakably Ùrar.
